Giving Back to Our Communities: Servant Heart Good Works in 2022

At HomeTeam, we’re not just a pest control company. We take our purpose of protecting homes and improving communities seriously – it’s our culture to give back. In fact, one of our six core values is Commitment to Serving Others, and this commitment extends from our branches across the country to our corporate headquarters.

Our Servant Heart Good Works program helps to fulfill this purpose. We’re passionate about the areas we serve in, and we work hard to shape these communities into places where goodness prevails. Each one of our branches has a Servant Heart ambassador who helps to field ideas for local Good Works initiatives and put these ideas into action.

During 2022, HomeTeam’s President Brady Camp challenged each branch to come up with what they wanted to do to give back to their community. Our branches certainly took this and ran with it, and we saw some incredible demonstrations of what it means to have a Servant Heart. From organizing toy and food drives to beach clean-ups and volunteer work at shelters and food banks, we showed up. We’re proud to announce that our hard-working HomeTeamers have donated more than 1,910 hours and $39,453 to worthy causes so far this year. Here are a few highlights of our Good Works:

Fayetteville Builds Forever Homes

Members of our Fayetteville team volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and finished building two homes in their local neighborhood. They look forward to building more in the future – keep up the good work, Fayetteville!

Raleigh Lends a Hand

At our Raleigh branch, a group of HomeTeamers and their families banded together one weekend to help an elderly customer whose home needed a little TLC. These dedicated volunteers cleaned gutters, power washed, spruced-up her yard, mulched beds, planted flowers, sealed crawl spaces, rodent-proofed vents, and fixed her dryer. Way to go, Raleigh!

Houston West Helps Out

Our Houston West branch recently hosted the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center for a blood drive. Employees took time out of their day to help save a life and recovered afterwards with plenty of snacks! Thank you for demonstrating your Servant Heart, Houston West!

Corporate Food Drive

Our corporate headquarters in Dallas sparked some friendly competition with a food drive to support the North Texas Food Bank. Departments were challenged to see who could bring in the most food, and we donated a whopping 967 pounds of food items to neighbors in need!

Our Response to Hurricane Ian

The impact of Hurricane Ian during October led to an incredible display of our team members supporting each other. HomeTeamers throughout the country pitched in to provide needed supplies, support our affected branches, and service our customers. Donations included pallets of water, baby formula, gasoline, pet food, gift cards, batteries, flashlights and more. We’re very proud of our HomeTeam family!
