HomeTeam technician servicing a Taexx hub

A Proven System Builders Trust

Give your homebuyers a pest control system they don’t have to think about. Taexx is installed during construction and runs throughout designated walls of the home. The Taexx Tubes in the Wall® system delivers EPA-registered treatment from an outside service hub, and has been independently tested for durability, moisture residue, and air quality. It’s a feature you can offer with evidence to back it up, not just a pitch.

Why Builders Choose Taexx

Taexx installation during new construction

How Taexx Works

Taexx is installed before the walls close, during framing. A network of small tubes runs through designated walls and connects to a service hub on the outside of the home. Once your homeowners move in and activate the service, HomeTeam technicians treat the entire system from that outside hub, no one has to be home*.

  2. 2 Tube Installation
  3. 3 Service Point
  4. 4 Ready for Treatment

Because the system is installed during construction, it can only be added to new builds. It’s not a retrofit product, which is exactly why it needs to be part of your build plan now, rather than something buyers add later.

Built to Last, Independently Proven

Every major concern about in-wall systems has already been tested by a third party, not just HomeTeam.

Clog resistance

University of Georgia

Ran a simulated 20-year test and found no clogging or malfunction in the system's tubes.

Moisture

University of Florida

Found that a hot shower produces more water vapor than servicing the Taexx system does.

Air quality

University of North Florida

Toxicologist Dr. Richard Lipsey found no detectable pest control material in living areas after service.

What Homeowners Are Saying

Builders who partner with HomeTeam point to the same two things: a feature buyers respond to, and a system install that doesn’t create interruptions to your build cycle.

An independent customer study found that 97 percent of Taexx homeowners report very high satisfaction with the system.

“I particularly like the Taexx system that was put in when my home was built. HomeTeam technicians are professional and thorough.”
Brad Meritage Homeowner
“I one million percent love the Taexx system and will be having it in my next home, too.”
Charlotte Toll Brothers Homeowner

Taexx Frequently Asked Questions

Taexx has to go in during construction, before the walls are closed up. It can't be added to a home after it's built, which is why it needs to be part of your build plan from the start.

Exterior finish, foundation design, and insulation type all affect which walls Taexx can be installed in. The system is customized to each builder's construction specs, in designated exterior or interior walls or a combination of both.

Damaged lines are typically caught and repaired before the walls close. If one is missed, technicians can detect and isolate that single zone during service. The system runs 10 to 15 zones, so one disabled zone doesn't compromise the rest of the coverage.

Each region has a dedicated Builder Sales Representative. Contact HomeTeam through the form on this page or call 1-877-461-PEST (7378).

The University of Georgia ran a simulated 20-year test on the system and found no clogging or malfunction in the apertures. If a specific install raises concerns for your team, that's worth flagging to your Builder Sales Representative directly.

Independent testing by a University of North Florida toxicologist found no detectable level of pest control material in the living areas of a home following a Taexx service.

They're not competing methods, they solve different problems. Perimeter treatment addresses pests before they enter the home. Taexx targets pests already inside wall voids, where perimeter treatment can't reach. HomeTeam's standard service combines both as part of the same visit.

Taexx isn't a single spray point; it's a network of small perforated tubes running through designated wall cavities, connected back to the exterior service port. Technicians apply materials through this network in a controlled, metered process, not a single blast.

No. Taexx targets common household pests like ants, cockroaches, and spiders. HomeTeam offers Sentricon and pre-construction soil and wood treatments separately for termites.
