The eBugBites Newsletter Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of HomeTeam Pest Defense, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law.
No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win. A purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning. During the Sweepstakes Period (defined below), entrants may enter by either method:
(a) Newsletter Subscription Entry (Free): Subscribe to the eBugBites newsletter and remain subscribed at the time of the applicable drawing; subscription is free and you may unsubscribe at any time without affecting your chances of winning. Limit one (1) entry per person per Entry Period, regardless of method.
(b) Mail-In Entry (Free): Handprint your full name, mailing address, phone number, email address, and the words “eBugBites Newsletter Sweepstakes – [Entry Period: May 31 or November 30]” on a 3″ x 5″ card and mail in a stamped envelope to: HomeTeam Pest Defense, Inc., Attn: eBugBites Sweepstakes, 1341 W Mockingbird Lane, Suite 850W, Dallas, TX, 75247. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by and received by the dates set forth below for the applicable Entry Period. Mechanically reproduced entries are void. Limit one (1) entry per person per Entry Period. Entries that are incomplete, illegible, late, garbled, or generated by script, macro, or other automated means are void. Duplicate or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 1 of the calendar year and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on December 31 of that calendar year (“Sweepstakes Period”). There are two (2) entry periods each year (each, an “Entry Period”):
Per Entry Period, one (1) winner will receive one (1) $500 Visa® Gift Card (Approximate Retail Value “ARV”: $500). Total ARV of all prizes awarded per calendar year: $1,000. Prize is non-transferable, and no substitution or cash equivalent is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, or expired gift cards, or any fees associated with the card use. All federal, state, and local taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use are the sole responsibility of winner. Sponsor may issue an IRS Form 1099 to a winner if required by law.
On or about each drawing date identified above, Sponsor (or its designee) will randomly select 0ne (1) winner from all eligible entries received for that Entry Period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the applicable Entry Period. Winners will be notified via the email address and/or phone number provided at entry. Winners must respond within seven (7) business days to claim the prize. If a potential winner does not respond within seven (7) business days, fails to sign and return any required documents in time, is deemed ineligible, or the prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
Entry into the Sweepstakes is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy; personal information collected will be used to administer the Sweepstakes and otherwise as set forth in the Privacy Policy. Marketing communications are optional and not required to enter or win; opting in or out will not affect your chances of winning. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes or an Entry Period if fraud, technical failures, human error or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes. All decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding. Participation constitutes full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and with the Sponsor’s decisions. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
By entering, entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of participation or the acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Except where prohibited, entrants agree that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State where Sponsor is located, without giving effect to any conflict of law rules.
For the name of the winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Sponsor address above, Attn: eBugBites Sweepstakes Winners, within sixty (60) days after the end of the Sweepstakes Period.
