June Bugs

Pest Facts from HomeTeam

June bugs get their name from the time of year they emerge from the ground. They are blackish or reddish brown in color. They are oval-shaped and stout, with distinctive, hard, sheath-like wings. They range from ½ to ⅝ inch in length with three pairs of legs. While medically harmless, they can be a nuisance around the home at night, as they are attracted to porch lights.
