HomeTeam Technician Named Termite Technician of the Year

Dallas, TX – February, 2010 – Sean Young was named Termite Technician of the Year by PCT Magazine in the publication’s January edition. Young, a HomeTeam Pest Defense pest control technician and Houston resident, will be recognized at a special awards ceremony at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. during the National Pest Management Association’s Legislative Day March 2, 2010.

Now in its 13^th year, the PCT Technician of the Year Award recognizes the qualities that define an exemplary pest control professional. A panel of four industry professionals reviewed each candidate’s credentials and selected three winners, including Young, from three categories: Residential, Commercial and Termite. Technicians were nominated for their excellent customer service, pest control knowledge and contributions to their company.

Young has worked in the pest control industry for 21 years. In 1988, he joined Rodgers Pest Control, which was sold to HomeTeam in 1997. He is consistently a top performer and assists the branch in training new technicians, and coaching them on selling techniques and customer service. He lives in Houston with his wife, Melissa, and two children, Hunter and Cole.
